LIE Fall & Winter 2021 continues to celebrate the spirited image of “Perfectly Imperfect”, emphasizing the diverse individuality and unique beauty it creates. This season, drawing inspiration from the break-through story of female Equestrian medalist, Lis Hartel, who competed in the Olympics despite her physical challenges, setting a tone of strength and determination in this multi-faceted collection. Through masterful combinations of LIE’s distinctive imbalanced silhouettes along with clever seam-manipulation, LIE’s Fall & Winter 2021 collection constructed a foundation of mixed-media blouses as well as asymmetric-cut trousers and skirts that juxtapose with structured saddle-inspired outerwear to portray Hartel’s experience and underlying obstacles while exhibiting the refined equestrian exterior.
